Are you looking for braces in South Florida

A lot of South Florida families know that Dr. Carmen Crespi is the top choice if you’re looking for Invisalign in or near Miami Fl. Nevertheless, it is important to point out that Lakes Orthodontics is also your best choice if you’re looking for clear braces near Golden Beach. In case you are an individual that is trying to get your teeth aligned, you might be weighing your options like I was. I chose to get clear braces care because I am a professional adult. If you are a a professional adult as i am, you might be trying to decide whether there is a less noticable way to get your teeth fixed minus having to use a process as noticeable as traditional bracket braces.

Coincidentally, you will find clear braces which will provide you all the benefits which you might typically be able to get with old-fashioned braces. Yet, it may come with additional benefits including having the capability to take out your clear braces aligners whenever you are eating. This ultimately contributes to better dental hygiene, as you are going to have the capability to thoroughly clean your teeth as soon as you eat. Along with this, you won’t have brackets in the way of flossing. It is only a more sensible choice for most of us. Providing you are a patient for clear braces, you should strongly think about it over metal braces as it could offer you many advantages that you just couldn’t get with brackets.

I’m Actually Allowing The Children Pick From Clear Braces vs Metal Braces

I am actually letting my children select from clear braces vs metal braces. I wasn’t allowed any kind of input to the dental decisions impacting me when I was younger, and although my teeth ended up perfectly fine, I still sort of hated lacking any control over defining what happened to me and my body till I was out of the home.

My wife was a little shocked at the proposal we let our kids have say with their treatment. I pointed out to her that the clear braces our orthodontist offers are just as good and effective as the old-fashioned models, so there is no negotiating the fitness of our kids.

Additionally, our insurance for dental means we would spend the same cash out of pocket for either option too. I am just doing this since the two things are true. I am not going to let the kids destroy my banking account or hurt their own health.

The truth simply is, they are all heading into their adolescent years, and they have to figure out ways to make conclusions on their own whenever I can allow them. Majority would strike them eventually, and I would like them to be able to manage. That is very true for our daughters, who must ultimately learn that they decide what goes on with their bodies. So, now that you know that Lakes Orthodontics is not only for Orthodontist near Miami Gardens but also the ideal orthodontic practice for clear braces in or near Golden Beach, Fl, we look forward to serving you. Do braces hurt? Does Invisalign hurt?

What you should expect when you put on your braces or Invisalign.

A question that I get all the time from patients in my orthodontic office is, “Will my braces or Invisalign hurt?” This is actually on most people’s mind when considering braces or Invisalign.  No matter what type of orthodontic treatment you choose you will most likely have some level of pain, soreness or discomfort with your teeth at the beginning of treatment.  However, the discomfort is not typically a sharp pain but instead more like soreness that you feel for the first couple of days when you first start with braces or Invisalign.  Most patients say that the first three days are the toughest and that after that the soreness goes away.   It is also important to remember that pain is subjective and patients have different treatment details that can greatly vary the feeling that a patient feels during treatment.

Tips to help make your braces or Invisalign treatment be less painful:

1) Eat softer foods the first few days of braces.  Often times, the most painful moments when someone first starts their braces or Invisalign is when they eat for the first two or three days.  A very helpful tip is to eat softer foods that do not require your teeth to put a lot of pressure.  For example, you can have mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, meatloaf, applesauce, etc.

2) Use wax to cover any sharp edges on the braces or Invisalign.

3) Use plenty of lip balm or Vaseline the first two days.  Often times the initial appointments leave the lips dry due to having the mouth stretched to put on the braces.  Using moisturizer on the lips can make the lips feel much better and ease the pain of the braces the first few days.

4) Eat something cold like ice cream, a milkshake or a smoothie.  Often times a cold treat can make you feel relief and make you feel rewarded for your braces.  Obviously, do not eat something that can possibly damage your braces or make a mess like caramel, hard nuts, etc.

5) Take a pain reliever.  A very common remedy to the pain tat you feel when you begin your treatment is to take a pain reliever such as Motrin, Advil, Tylenol, etc.   Make sure to avoid anything that can cause an allergy and consult your physician if you are taking any other medications.

It is also important to remember that the pain will get better and that the beautiful smile that will come at the end of treatment is 100% worth the temporary pain.
